Ranbir Kapoor Biography
<span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Star Clan</span><br />September 28th 1982 saw the birth of the suave Ranbir Kapoor into the first family of Bollywood. He is the son of actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, great-grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor and grandson of Raj Kapoor. This six-footer studied at Bombay Scottish and his college years were at Le Strasberg Institute. He is currently dating one of the upcoming actresses, Deepika Padukone.<br /><span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Getting Started</span><br />He kick started his career in the industry, where his family already holds an impressive record, with two movies <span style="font-style: italic;">Karma and India 1964</span> in 2004. He also donned the hat of an assistant director on the sets of <span style="font-style: italic;">Prem Granth</span>, <span style="font-style: italic;">Aa Ab Laut Chalen</span> and the award-winning <span style="font-style: italic;">Black</span>.<br />It was followed by a commercial movie with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s <span style="font-style: italic;">Saawariya</span>. The much talked about movie hit the screens in 2007, where he starred opposite another newcomer Sonam Kapoor, a childhood friend and a star daughter herself. The movie did not make a big splash but his presence was definitely felt and he won the Filmfare Best Male Debut award.<br />His second movie <span style="font-style: italic;">Bachna Hai Haseeno</span> released in 2008, in which he played a playboy opposite Minisha Lamba, Deepika Padukone and Bipash Basu. The response to the movie was both hot and cold.<br /><span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Up Next</span><br />He has three movies lined up for release in 2009. Wake Up Sid with Konkana Sen, <span style="font-style: italic;">Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani</span> and <span style="font-style: italic;">Rajneeti</span> with Katrina Kaif. <br />
