Rimi Sen Biography
Rimi Sen, or Rimii as she likes to be called these days, was an Odissi dancer who happened to catch the eye of a movie director while auditioning for an ad. And the rest, as they say, is history.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Basics on Rimi Sen</span><br />Born on 21st September 1981 in Kolkata, Rimi was christened Shubhomitra Sen. <br /><br />Her school days were spent in Bidya Bharti Girl’s High School. She also trained in Odissi and was part of Aloka Kanungo’s dance group.<br /><br />Rimi auditioned for a Coke ad when the director noticed her and offered her a role in Hungama (2003).<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Rimi Sen’s Movies</span><br />Rimi Sen’s first movie was as Anjali in Priyadarshan’s Hungama (2005). After working with Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachchan in Baghban (2005), she landed a role in the blockbuster Dhoom (2006) as Abhishek Bachchan’s wife Sweety. <br /><br />Rimi continued to be seen in some of the biggest hits, mostly of the comedy genre, like Garam Masala (2005), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Golmaal (2006) and Dhoom 2 (2006). In 2007, she played Mini opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh. Her next movie De Taali (2008) didn’t do well.<br /><br />Her next releases include Horn Ok Pleass and Airport.<br /><br />
