Supriya Pathak Biography
Affable and the jolly kinds, Supriya Pathak is an actress whose presence is established in both television and cinema.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Basics on Supriya</span><br />Supriya Pathak is the actress Dina Pathak’s daughter. Her sister Ratna Pathak Shah is also a television actress and is married to actor Naseeruddin Shah.<br /><br />Supriya is the second wife of actor Pankaj Kapur. They have a son, Ishaan. She is actor Shahid Kapoor’s step mother. <br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Supriya Pathak’s Movies</span><br />Supriya Pathak’s first movie was Shyam Benegal’s Kalyug (1981) which won her the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress award. She won it again for her role in Bazaar (1982) which was about children sold by impoverished families. <br /><br />She was part of Gandhi (1982) and Shekhar Kapur’s Masoom (1983) which was a remake of Erick Segal’s Man, Woman and Child. She also acted in Ketan Mehta’s Mirch Masala which starred Smita Patil. In The Bengali Night (1988) she played Hugh Grant’s lover and Aamir Khan’s girlfriend who is raped in Raakh (1989). <br /><br />She was part of the successful Sarkar (2005) and it’s sequel Sarkar Raj (2008) as Pushpa Subhash Nagre and as one of the residents in Chandni Chowk in Delhi 6 (2009). <br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">On Television </span><br />Supriya Pathak was seen in Khichdi and Idhar Udhar.
