Bhoothnath is the story of a boy Banku(Aman Siddigue)and Bhoothnath (Amitabh Bachan)become friends and help each other in various situations.

Banku moves to a new house.....which is a very big and haunted house......Bhoothnath tries to scare them away (because it was his house and he did not like anyone staying there )but only Banku can see him no other person.....In this movie, Bhoothnath tell his story and how he died.....He had a son and he went to america and he is married and has a child .Amitabh bachan told his son to come back he does not....and his wife died in that sadness......and his son comes back to see his father ....he forgived him.Now bhoothnath's son tries to sell the house but bachan did not allow him to do because his wife's athma is there and he does not want to sell that house......and the son goes back to america.....When bachan was going to tell them not to go he slipped from the steps and die.....and his athma doesnot forgive his son.....never......In ths Shahrukh Khan does a special appearance
